How it maps
- Centres → drones. The flow field releases an 11×11 grid of seeds; each climbs (foveated mean-shift) to the centre that catches it. Each surviving basin holds one drone, loud in proportion to its share. Voice k sounds degree k of a fixed chord on A2, so two centres at the same height still sound as two pitches. Pan follows the basin's position.
- Fixation → note. Pitch from height (top is high), loudness from the foveated mass captured, timbre from the basin it lands in. A fixation outside every basin is a satellite: a struck wood.
- Authority. When the new centre organises the field's radial structure better than the one just left (dRC > 0), the note holds and its basin swells. When it doesn't, the note slips and falls.
- Under each note, the scannerer's spectral voice read on mass: the mass under the fovea, left to right, in 24 bands from 90 Hz to 5.2 kHz.
- Saccade → glide along the actual climb path.
- Collapse → silence. When no eligible next fixation remains, everything stops. A field that collapses at the start never gets a melody.
The reading is a faithful port of saccade-field (checked against the Python on every bundled work). It measures the composition's intrinsic attention dynamics; it is not a gaze predictor. Voices adapted from intonarumori; band law from the scannerer lab.
