The Crit and The Field take an image and report its coordinates. The Synth takes coordinates and finds an image. It's deterministic and self-checking — no diffusion model, no prompt, no upload. What it draws is the shape of the metric space itself: abstract compositional fields, not photographs.

Dial in where you want to land: a settled basin or an authored diagonal, color welded to the structure or floating free, the value key, the chroma, the hue breadth.

Generate → measure → climb

A procedural generator renders candidate fields; both VTL kernels measure each one; an evolution strategy climbs toward your coordinates until the gap is small.

03 — IT PROVES ITSELF

Target vs achieved

The winning image is measured again and shown against your target, metric by metric. When a target is physically out of reach — dark and maximally saturated — the readout shows the gap instead of faking it.
